Privacy Notice
The American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its web site.  To protect online privacy, the ACOOG has implemented the following policy.
Information Collection and Use
The American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists is the sole owner of the information collected on www.acoog.org. We will not sell, share, or rent this information in ways different from what is disclosed in this notice.
General Users
The ACOOG does not collect any personal information from users browsing its web site.  Servers identify numeric IP addresses, but not the individual using it.  Only aggregate data, such as number of hits per page, are collected.  This aggregate data is used for purposes of analyzing trends and tracking site activity for administrative and content improvements.

Association Members
The ACOOG web site collects information if you indicate preferences for receiving certain categories of information through the site (committee updates, event registrations, etc.). This information is used only for maintenance of your member page and in maintaining the ACOOG membership database. Information that is voluntarily submitted is also made available to other ACOOG members through the membership directory and to those who register for conferences.  On occasion, the ACOOG may provide limited data to third parties offering services in conjunction with a conference.  Dependent upon the recipient, these limited data include name, mailing address or partial address (city, state) only and will NEVER include phone, fax, or email information.
ACOOG Information
Our web site provides you with the ability to submit, modify or delete information about yourself contained in the database and membership directory of the ACOOG. Information in the ACOOG database is covered by this privacy notice.
Cookies
www.acoog.org  does not track your use of the Internet with “cookies.” When you log in to the members-only area, a short string of code is sent to your computer’s memory. This “session-based” cookie lets us know you already entered your password as you go to different pages on the site. When you close your browser, this cookie is not saved or stored on your computer. If you do not use the password-protected areas of the site, you may block this session cookie and still use the rest of the web site.

This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each web site they visit.
Credit Card Information
The ACOOG does not disclose credit card information provided by its members or other users.  When members or customers choose to pay by credit card, the information needed to obtain payment is submitted securely through the appropriate merchant services channels.
Surveys
Occasionally, you may see a survey conducted by www.acoog.org. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information.

Notification of Changes
If changes or additions are made to our privacy policy, the date of the update will be posted on the privacy statement.  Member users will also be notified by email or special announcement on the individual log-in page.
